I noticed on most jaw surgery blogs and videos; the caregivers are hardly mentioned. Especially if it is a man, the story is presented as a heroic figure stoically soldiering on all alone. In reality, this is one situation where having help is critical for at least the first week. Minimum 3 days, if you are paying for help.
Thankfully, Rob is my unpaid caregiver because years ago he thought I would be the best life project ever. You'll have to ask him how that's working out for him.
The other super nice thing that happened is this bit of beauty pick-me-up, sent from my orthodontist's office. (Ballard Orthodontists in Seattle, WA.)
