TWO WEEKS

Is this what good sleep looks like? OMG- It's a whole new world!

I still have 2 more weeks with an upper jaw splint inside my mouth. I can chew soft foods and talk reasonably well in person. I don't recommend me on the phone, the splint takes up a ton of space in my mouth and muffles my speech. 

The splint is keeping my upper jaw stable while my body works double time to grow new connective bone to graft all 3 jaw pieces together. It is annoying to wear but I am content to let my body do its job. Luckily, the splint doesn't hurt at all so I'm not complaining too loudly. 

Honestly, I am just as surprised as you are at how fast I am healing. I fully expected to have a swollen face for ages. I expected to be in a ton of pain and be miserable for a good long while. I am grateful none of that happened. 

Any which way, I am feeling tons better and I'll take it!
